Seven projects from the MENA region recognized at the inaugural awards
DUBAI, December 7, 2010 — The inaugural H2O Water Awards successfully concluded on 25th November, 2010 at Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai. H20 Water Awards celebrates the outstanding achievements of organizations and individuals who have contributed to the advancement of the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region's water industry.
The H20 Water Awards were organised by CPI Industry, a leading B2B publishing and events company, based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The awards night, hosted by Malcolm Taylor, Senior Presenter at Dubai Eye, saw the region’s water industry turn out in strength to support the region’s first ever water industry awards. “I am sure these awards will become one of the most valuable (in the region) going forward,” noted Taylor in his comments. Out of nearly 40 shortlisted nominations across seven categories, the winners and runner-ups were as follows.
The panel of judges comprised of Dr Saad Alani (Hyder Consultants), Dr Masood Raza (PAL Technologies) and Sarfaraz Dairkee (MAHY Khoory & Company). The event was sponsored by Eagle Electromechanical/Al Hijaz Mechanical Equipment, Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies and Drake & Scull Water & Power while KMPG came on board as the knowledge partner. H20 Water Awards was supported by Zawya, AEC online, Fresh2o, University of Surrey, UBI France, ASHRAE, and Decision Makers TV.
